About the Founder

Entering the University of Missouri as a first-generation college student, Carolyn Trice, the founder of Innovative Results DC, LLC became a business major seeking opportunities beyond those traditionally afforded to young people in the segregated city of St. Louis, Missouri. After working as a community organizer with students living in the Pruitt-Igoe housing projects, Ms. Trice would go on to change her major to education.

Ms. Trice’s more than 30 years of experience in K-12 education has ranged across the educational spectrum: from teacher, school administrator, and education policy analyst, to performance officer and accountability specialist for a nationally-recognized charter school authorizer, and mom. Her career responsibilities have also included teacher and student assessment, special education policy, teacher mentoring, and director of various programs in school districts, education organizations, and a university.

Ms. Trice has a B.A. in education from the University of Missouri, an M.A. in educational psychology from Washington University in St. Louis, and I have completed the coursework towards a Ph. D in educational psychology from Temple University.
